Allergy 250K Young Adult Camp in Adelaide
Who can attend this camp?
Young adults, 18 to 27 years of age, who have a severe allergy and are at risk of anaphylaxis.
Location and dates
The National Allergy Council is holding an Allergy 250K young adult camp in Adelaide, South Australia. The weekend of adventure will take place a short 25 minute drive from the Adelaide CBD. The camp dates are Friday 4 July to Sunday 6 July 2025. The accommodation will be dormitory style (not tents).
Cost
This camp is free to attend as The National Allergy Council has received funding from the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care. If you do not live in Adelaide, you can still attend the camp, however you will need to arrange and pay for all costs to travel to and from the camp location.
All food allergies are catered for
The National Allergy Council works with the camp catering staff so that everyone with food allergies will be catered for. At least one allergy dietitian with extensive experience in complex food allergy will be involved in setting the menu, meal preparation and service during the camp. National Allergy Council staff, a clinical immunology/allergy specialist and an allergy nurse will also attend the camp.
A weekend of fun activities, learning and connecting
Allergy 250K camps provide the opportunity to eat delicious food and participate in fun team building activities and challenges. The camp will include educational allergy information sessions run by health professionals. The program will be provided just prior to the camp. The camps provide a fantastic opportunity to meet other young adults living with severe allergies, including our Allergy 250K peer mentors, while experiencing fun activities in a safe and supportive environment.

Allergy 250K peer mentor training
Optional Allergy 250K peer mentor training will be offered at this camp. The Allergy 250K peer mentor program connects school-aged kids with peer mentors, through the Allergy 250K school-aged kids camp program. The peer mentor training is not a compulsory part of the camp – it is only for those who would like to become an Allergy 250K peer mentor.
